This is because the thought of being sexist is generally associated with women. That is why there had been the feminist movements had been initiated and actualized by women in the past. However, there have never been movements by men to protest against being oppressed by women. The history of sexism is associated with women being oppressed by men. Dorothy Parker being a woman will always make it difficult for readers to accept the ways in which she would speak against women by taking the place of a man.
